Medicare rebates offset but do not cover the cost of medical care. Fees for private neurology consultations are variable. Contact reception staff to clarify the fee that will apply to your visit.
Please ensure you bring your referral letter from your doctor as attendance without a referral means you will not be eligible for a Medicare refund.
Some of our specialists offer reduced fees for pension and healthcare card holders, so please advise staff if you may be eligible for a concession. You will be required to bring your concession card on the day of your appointment.
All accounts are payable in full on the day of service. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available. Please note we do not accept American Express™.
Please note that non-attendance for an appointment which has been confirmed may result in a non-attendance fee being charged which is not recoverable from Medicare.
Nerve Conduction Studies
Nerve conduction and electromyography (EMG) tests attract a Medicare rebate. Please do not hesitate to contact the reception staff to enquire about your estimated fees and available Medicare rebates. You will be required to pay your account in full on the day of your test. A portion of this will be refunded to you by Medicare. Most health funds do not provide any rebate for nerve conduction studies.
Pensioners and healthcare card holders may be eligible to receive a concession rate for these tests. Please bring your concession card with you.
If you are claiming your test under a WorkCover claim, you will need to provide your claim details and written documentation confirming your eligibility for funding for this test prior to the test being performed. If you are unable to provide this documentation, you will be required to pay the full amount as a private patient.
